Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held its open workouts on Wednesday for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 161 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which takes place this Sat,. night (Oct. 12, 2019) on ESPN+ from inside Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
As you might expect with all the weigh-in drama this week, most of the reporters wanted to talk about Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s weight cut. Not surprisingly, she did not. The former champion did, however, insist she would be on weight for tomorrow’s scale-tipping festivities.
Also getting her share of attention in “The Sunshine State” was fellow UFC Fight Night 161 headliner Michelle Waterson, who dazzled the crowd with some of her patented kicks. “The Karate Hottie” stuck around to answer a battery of questions from the media, as well.
