Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will return to the pay-per-view (PPV) business as UFC 234 is all set to go down on Saturday February 9 inside Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.
Aside from featuring a hard-hitting Middleweight title fight between division champion Robert Whittaker and No. 1 contender, Kelvin Gastelum, the co-main event will be just as intriguing as Anderson Silva faces off against Israel Adesanya in a pivotal 185-pound showdown.
Known for his unique standup style, Adesanya has long been compared to Anderson, the former UFC middleweight champion and ex-pound-for-pound king. Silva, though, wasn’t having it. But as evidenced by the carefully promo video embedded above, it really is like looking in the mirror when comparing the two striking tacticians.
Still, Silva looks to prove he is leaps and bounds ahead of the 29 year-old, who look to lock down a world title fight with a victory over the longtime veteran.
