Maybe he’s training for that Thanos rematch?
Hollywood action hero Chris Pratt, perhaps best known as Star-Lord in the Marvel movies and Owen Grady in the Jurassic World films, is actually a pretty good mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, according to Bellator athlete and gym teammate, Adel Altamimi.
“He’s really good,” Altamimi told MMA Junkie. “He has really good wrestling – he has a background in wrestling in high school. The guy has really good experience wrestling, and I work with him a lot with striking and I train him in striking. We roll a lot. He likes to roll, and he’s strong.”
Pratt is no stranger to combat sports and has been seen sitting cageside at Bellator events (like this one). In addition, the former Parks and Recreation star trained wrestling under retired UFC hall-of-famer, Randy Couture.
“I was trying to warm up with him (before the fight) and I was like, ‘I want another guy’ because he’s heavy,” Altamimi said. “He has really strong hips. I know he’s a really famous actor, but he trains every day. This guy is always training. He’s very, very strong. He comes to fight.”
So does Altamimi, who defeated Brandon McMahan at Bellator 214 on Jan. 26.
