UFC on ESPN+ 1 injuries and medical suspensions for the athletes who competed at at the “Cejudo vs Dillashaw” event on Saturday (Jan. 19, 2019) inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., were released by New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) via MMA Fighting.
Leading the way in mandatory sits is Alexander Hernandez, who was knocked out by Donald Cerrone in round two of their Lightweight affair, but not before getting busted up at the hands of the wily “Cowboy” for the better part of two rounds (highlights).
Karl Roberson was also handed a similar medical suspension after he was choked out by Glover Teixiera in the opening frame of their Light Heavyweight bout. Also, Belal Muhammad was benched for two months following his three round war with Geoff Neal.

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
