One thing I enjoy about the UFC “Thrill & Agony” videos, which stream exclusively on the UFC Fight Pass digital network, is that you get a lot of footage not otherwise available before, during, and after the major events.
That includes the above video preview in the wake of UFC on ESPN+ 1, featuring Henry Cejudo’s first-round win over TJ Dillashaw in defense of his 125-pound strap. “The Messenger” celebrated with a phone call from reigning lightweight titleholder, Khabib Nurmagmedov.
Dillashaw, meanwhile, had a few choice words for referee Kevin MacDonald.
Whether or not the finish was controversial all depends on who you were rooting for, as most fans can make a case in either direction. Promotion president, Dana White, called it a “horrible stoppage” but that might stem from the fact that he was trying to kill off the flyweight division.
