After all was said and done at the UFC 232 pay-per-view (PPV) event -- which went down on Sat., Dec. 29, 2018, inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. -- there was plenty of “Thrill and Agony” to go around.
Sharing in the obvious joy was Jon Jones, who was once again crowned Light Heavyweight champion after outclassing Alexander Gustafsson, ultimately knocking him out in round three (see it). The loss was Gustafsson’s second to “Bones,” adding a little bit of an extra punch to the gut for the towering Swede.
Also, Cris Cyborg was in obvious agony after losing for the first time in more than one decade, getting knocked out in just 51 seconds by Amanda Nunes. “Lioness,” meanwhile, was jumping for joy after being crowned the 145-pound champ (recap), becoming UFC’s first-ever female “champ-champ.”
