Miffed Tyron Woodley not ‘Chosen One’ in hokey new UFC on ESPN+ promo

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is coming to ESPN+ later this month and what better way to usher in the promotion’s new broadcast deal than with a Brady-Bunch style promo that has everyone boxed in like Hollywood Squares.

I guess the role of Ann B. Davis went to Cody Garbrandt.

Not surprisingly, the reactions from mixed martial arts (MMA) fans were tepid, at best, dropping disapproving comments like “cringe fest” and “Is this is a Glee reboot?” on the official SportsCenter Twitter account.

And yet despite its poor reception, UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, is mad that he wasn’t included. Maybe he likes to sing that “duh-nuh-nuh, dun-nuh-nuh” intro, or perhaps he’s just one of those sensitive types who never got asked to the prom.

Woodley has never been one of Dana White’s favorite fighters. In fact, despite that squashed beef, “The Chosen One” is still battling the promotion president from week-to-week, usually because of the welterweight title that is only defended when the champ is good and ready.

Something he still can’t get a pass for.
