Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently released the official poster for its upcoming UFC on ESPN 1 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, taking place Sun., Feb. 17, 2019 from inside Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.

And it’s garbage.

Topping the promotion’s debut on ESPN is the heavyweight showdown pitting former 265-pound champion, Cain Velasquez, against power-punching ex-title contender, Francis Ngannou. Both combatants are featured on the event poster (courtesy MMA Junkie) and both look like they are swinging and missing.

By a mile.

The Piss Christ look is soooo 1987.

Ngannou (12-3) is coming off a 45-second knockout win over Curtis Blaydes at UFC Fight Night 141 in Beijing, China, back in November. The victory put “The Predator” back in the win column after suffering back-to-back defeats to Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis.

Velasquez (14-2), meanwhile, hasn’t seen action since UFC 200 in July of 2016, where he handily defeated Travis Browne via first round knockout in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to that, the 36 year-old wrestler lost his 265-pound title to Fabricio Werdum in Mexico City.
