ONE Championship returned to the airwaves on Saturday (Sept. 8, 2018) with “Beyond the Horizon,” a unique blend of mixed martial arts (MMA), kickboxing, and Muay Thai action from inside Baoshan Arena in Shanghai, China.
Headlining the card was the women’s strawweight title fight pitting hometown hero Xiong Jing Nan against Brazilian import Samara Santos. As expected, “The Panda” ran through “Murituba” en route to a technical knockout victory, setting up a future champion vs. champion showdown opposite atomweight champion Angela Lee.
Elsewhere on the card, top featherweight prospect Christian Lee got himself disqualified for his illegal slam of Edward Kelly. That marks the second straight loss for the 20 year-old “Warrior” after dropping a split decision to Martin Nguyen back in May.

ONE Championship will return with “Conquest of Heroes” on Sept. 22 from inside Jakarta Convention Center in Indonesia, featuring reigning ONE strawweight champion Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito defending his title against Filipino sensation Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, in a rematch of their championship showdown from 2016.
