We were all so busy watching Darren Till that nobody was paying attention to Nicco Montano.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s flyweight champion was hospitalized on Friday ahead of the UFC 228 weigh in event, according to MMA Fighting. Now, let’s make sure The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 26 winner is okay before you start ripping her to shreds in the comments section.
The status of her title defense against Valentina Shevchenko is unknown; however, if she’s in the hospital during the early weigh ins, it certainly doesn’t look good. In addition, there are no 125-pound females on the card to take her place.
Good thing “Big D” is chock full of fighters.

That means we’re in a holding pattern for the time being, but you can expect an announcement sooner, rather than later, as I’m sure UFC officials are trying to figure out how to reshuffle the line up in case Montano is benched.
