Despite not having been active for well over a year, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones seems to be in everyone’s cross-hairs these days.
At least on social media.
Not only has “Bones” picked up his beef with current UFC champ-champ and bitter rival, Daniel Cormier, but Jon has rekindled his war-of-words with Chael Sonnen. The two men have been going back and forth, and in the latest round, “American Gangster” fired back by reading some poetry pointing all of Jon’s past troubles.

The problem with countless, public transgressions is that your foes have plenty of ammunition. Right, “DC?”
Sonnen and Jones did tango inside the Octagon, with “Bones” earning a first round technical knockout loss over Chael at UFC 159 in April of 2013. A fight which resulted in Jones suffering a nasty toe injury (see it here).
The chances for a do-over between the two men are highly-unlikely, as Sonnen is currently taking on the big men of Bellator MMA in the Heavyweight Grand Prix, and is set to face Fedor Emelianenko at the upcoming Bellator 208 card on October 13, 2018.
Jones, meanwhile, is still in combat limbo as he has yet to receive his sentence from United States Anti Doping Agency (USADA) for failing another drug test stemming from his victory over Cormier at UFC 214.
