The growing feud between Donald Cerrone and his former training grounds, Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA, is not nearing an end anytime soon. If anything, business is picking up, as now other former members of the famed camp are chiming in on the beef.

Leonard Garcia, a former staple at Jackson-Wink in Albuquerque, New Mexico, whom is best friends with “Cowboy,” took to social media to give his take on the drama, particularly calling out Diego Sanchez for going off on his former teammate unnecessarily.

In fact, “Bad Boy” challenged “The Nightmare” to a bare-knuckle showdown in order to defend his best friends honor.

Seriously.

Don’t usually say much on social media not really my cup of tea! Watching all this gym thing @jacksonwink_mma and @cowboycerrone unfold! It sucked because I saw it build all the way up then fall into this mess. I saw @diegonightmaresanchezufc get on and say things to Cowboy didn’t sit to well! So here’s what I have to say Diego I respect you always have... thought you were a little crazy but, hey we all are a little bit! Let Cowboy and @platinummikeperry handle there business! That’s signed and dated I’m sure they can hash things out without anyone chiming in! If you feel like you have to get involved then I’m sure @worldbkff would give us free reign to get whatever it is off our chests! Cowboy has a brother that will always be around! #nodisrespect #justsaying #retiredbutnotexpired

For his part, Diego took the opportunity to apologize for his rant against “Cowboy,” admitting his emotions got the best of him.

Yea I know cowboy got emotional... blast... my mentors on JRE and really blasted my wrestling coach who never did anything to cowboy including coach him ever... didn’t sit well with me!!! Then I got emotional... your right Perry and him will settle it... I know cowboy is like your brother well Chad is mine and so is wink. There is always two ways of looking at it all this drama sucks... I shouldn’t have responded emotional either but your right I am still crazy but at least I am wise enough to publicly say look I took it to far I’ll man up on that right now. I see both sides now and it is mma it’s family and business but what first wink has 40,000 a month in over head at the new building. It’s business ask @danawhite

Garcia retired from the hurt business back in 2014 following a submission loss to Daniel Pienda at LFC 37 (see the video here).

While a bare-knuckle brawl between Diego and Leonard — two of the most entertaining fighters in the history of the sport — would be a feast for the eyes, it seems cooler heads have prevailed.

As for Cerrone, he will look to get some sweet revenge on his old camp by taking out Mike Perry at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 139 event on Nov. 10, 2018 in front of his hometown crowd of Denver, Colorado.
