Bellator returned to California for their big DAZN streaming debut, bringing some big names and some big paydays to the SAP Center in San Jose. Because California is one of those states where the athletic commissions force promoters to disclose fighter purses, we have a pretty good idea what everyone made for their fights on the card.
In general, the numbers we see look higher than what you see on many UFC cards with five of the twelve main card fighters making six figure sums. Another thing worth noting: many of the top names are paid flat fees, not show / win splits. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was the best paid fighter on the card, making $300,000 for his TKO win over longtime rival Wanderlei Silva (who made $200,000).
It’s not all grass is greener over in Bellator, though. We’ve got real feels for Ysidro Gutierrez, who took a beating from the always violent Gaston Bolanos for a measly $2000.
Take a look at all the pay, care of the CSAC (and via MMA Junkie):
Gegard Mousasi: $150,000 (no win bonus)
def. Rory MacDonald: $150,000 (no win bonus)
Quinton Jackson: $300,000 (no win bonus)
def. Wanderlei Silva: $200,000 (no win bonus)
Douglas Lima: $130,000 (no win bonus)
