The fact that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White loves to gamble has been well documented, and the way he continues to shit all over heavyweight power puncher Francis Ngannou leaves me wondering if White bet the house on “The Predator” and came up empty at UFC 220.
I don’t know how else to describe the constant fighter bashing, as White previously tore into the Cameroonian for acting like an egomaniac. I’m not sure what his behind-the-scenes crime was, but it’s not like he destroyed a fight card on two-days notice.
And we can’t even blame this three-round snoozer, because White gave “Black Beast” a free pass and even rewarded him with a co-main event slot on the biggest pay-per-view (PPV) card in history.
“Francis Ngannou, at the time that he was coming up, I believed this guy was going to be the guy, was going to be the heavyweight champion,” White said in a recent media scrum (via MMA Junkie). “And he lost his mind. This guy completely lost his mind and started to act in a way that you just don’t act.”
When I think of “lost mind” I think of this.
“Ngannou has a lot of things he needs to fix personally and professionally to see if he ever gets back on track again,” White said.
The Las Vegas fight boss has been forced to endure some pretty big hardships over the years, like former champion Jon Jones crashing cars into people and blowing up drug tests and McGregor getting arrested and hauled off to jail.
But Ngannou gets too cocky and it’s a national crisis.
