Greg Hardy was his usual destructive self in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) gym last night, smashing Tebaris Gordon in just 17 seconds in the final bout of Season 2 of Dana White’s “Tuesday Night Contender Series”.
Hardy immediately marched after Gordon and simply would not stop punching until a right hook snuck around Gordon’s guard and knocked him to the mat. With the win, he improves to 2-0 as a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter with a combined fight time of 1:14. If you include his three amateur fights, he’s undefeated (5-0) in a total time of 3:36.
Scary stuff. And he was definitely fired up about it:

As has been the theme so far this season, the rest of the card was chock-full of finishes. Devonte Smith flattened Joseph Lowry with Travis Browne-style elbows, Kennedy Nzechukwu made good on his second chance with a head kick finish of Dennis Bryant, and both Bobby Moffett and Alex Gilpin locked up second-round d’arce chokes.
Smith, Moffett and Nzechukwu walked away with contracts, while Hardy remains on his developmental contract. Even more than the first go-round, this season has produced an extraordinary amount of talented fighters. I can’t wait to see how they do under the bright lights.
