UFC 227 highlights: Watch ‘Dillashaw vs Garbrandt 2’ in super-slow motion

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was back in action last Saturday night (Aug. 4, 2018) for UFC 227: “Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt 2” in Los Angeles, Calif., featuring T.J. Dillashaws’s violent championship win over his former training partner-turned bitter rival Cody Garbrandt in the pay-per-view (PPV) main event (video).

As with every major PPV event, the world’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion has released its special “Fight Motion” video — previously known as “Ghost Cam” — to show you some of the carnage in super-slow motion.

In addition to UFC 227’s main event, Demetrious Johnson’s incredible championship run finally came to an end after an action-packed, five-round battle with former Olympic wrestling standout, Henry Cejudo. It was a close bout — one that was literally split right down the middle — but the judges apparently rewarded Cejudo for his relentless wrestling-minded gameplan.

It didn’t help Johnson that he apparently suffered some serious injuries during the bout. Nevertheless, he endured the pain and fought valiantly until the final buzzer blared. He’ll be back.
