Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently tied a ribbon around its UFC 227: “Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt 2” pay-per-view (PPV) mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which took place inside Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., on Sat., Aug. 4, 2018.
UFC 227 was headlined by the bantamweight rematch between reigning 135-pound kingpin TJ Dillashaw and ex-champion Cody Garbrandt, who first went to war at UFC 217. History repeated itself in “The City of Angels” after “No Love” once again went down on strikes.
In the UFC 227 co-headliner, longtime flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson coughed up his 125-pound crown after division rival Henry Cejudo avenged his UFC 197 loss to “Mighty Mouse” and won a five-round split decision.
