John Lineker fought just three months ago at UFC 224, taking out Brian Kelleher via third-round knockout, but the power-punching Brazilian is already itching to get back into the Octagon.
The only problem is, he can’t seem to get any of his fellow bantamweight combatants to sign on the dotted line. Which is why “Hands of Stone” took to social media and teased a move up not one, but two weight classes to fight in the lightweight division.
Check it out:
“ Everyone just waiting? Whats the matter with these guys? @DominickCruz ? @RaphaAssuncao ? @MMARLONMORAES ? Anybody else home? Do I have to go to 155 to have some fun?

Why not just go up to featherweight?
Lineker, in fact, recently teased a move up to 145 pounds to face Zabit Magomedsharipov after Yair Rodriguez was forced out of the bout — which was scheduled to go down at the upcoming UFC 228 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sept. 8, 2018 in Dallas, Texas — with an injury.
That fight ultimately went to Brandon Davis.
The Brazilian is currently enjoying a two-fight win streak and has won eight of his last nine fights inside the eight-sided cage. Unfortunately for him, the three fighters he mentioned are indeed currently playing the waiting game in an attempt to secure a shot at the division title.
But if I had to make a pick, I’d like to see Lineker take on Dominick Curz, as “The Dominator” is coming off a two-year hiatus and a loss to Cody Garbrandt and shouldn’t be in the title conversation at the moment.
