After having his 19-fight win streak snapped by Marlon Moraes a few months ago, Jimmie Rivera will attempt to get back on the winning track against John Dodson at the upcoming UFC 228 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sept. 8, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.

Indeed, up until face Marlon, Rivera was on a roll, running over the competition in his first five fights with the promotion and was seemingly on the cusp of a title shot. His most impressive win, though, has to be his Octagon debut in which he knocked out Marcus Brimage rather violently in just 90 seconds.
That 2015 performance was good enough to earn UFC’s “Knockout of the Week.”
Trying to get back in the win column against Dodson won’t be an easy task, as “The Magician” is as game as they come and is looking to build on his most recent win over Pedro Munoz at UFC 222 earlier this year.
UFC 228 is set to feature a Welterweight title fight between division champion Tyron Woodley taking on Darren Till, while the co-main event will see Nicco Montano defend her flyweight title against Valentina Shevchenko.
