Bryan Barberena ended Jake Ellenberger’s comeback attempt (and his career) earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 25, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 135 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, with an impressive first-round TKO win.
Ellenberger was trying to end a three-fight losing streak in front of his home crowd and looked confident in the early going. But once “Bam Bam” touched his chin, Ellenberger began to crumble. Barberena piled on the offense after a right hand connected with “Juggernaut” and the referee eventually called the fight.

With this performance, Barberena gets back in the welterweight win column after losing a unanimous decision to Leon Edwards last September. “Bam Bam” looked good on his feet tonight and should continue to roll his next time out as he’s now back to full health.
