James Krause made it five in a row earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 25, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 135 live on FOX Sports 1 from inside Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, when he brutalized Brazilian welterweight Warlley Alves to the tune of a second-round TKO win.
While Alves landed a few hard counter shots throughout the “Prelims” headliner, it was Krause who commanded majority of the action. He dictated where the fight took place, when and how he landed his offense, and avoided almost everything Alves had to throw. In the second round, Krause was able to land a perfect right knee that instantly wobbled Alves. Krause followed his efforts up with combinations along the cage before the referee jumped in for the stoppage.

With this performance, Krause extends his current welterweight win streak to three and proves that he’s good enough to take out even some of the most physically gifted fighters at 170 pounds. The former lightweight has never looked more patient and calculated inside of the Octagon so it’ll be interesting to see how long Krause can sustain his new found success.
