If you thought Tony Ferguson’s freak injury was bad, wait until you hear what happened to Bryce Mitchell.
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season 27 participant took to social media earlier today (Tues., Aug. 21, 2018) to detail an injury he suffered while doing some construction work. According to “Thug Nasty,” an electric drill he was carrying in his front pocket unexpectedly went off, grabbing a hold of his testicles and ripping them in half.
so I was gunna train today but I ripped my nutsack in half. I’m bout to get stitched up. i was holdn a board over my head with a drill n my pants. i was sizin up the board n the drill went off n tangled my nuts up n it. i dropped the board and reversed the drill and untangled my nutsack but they was ripped n half. im serious too lol. i obviously cant post a pic. but wen my nuts r seald back up ima come train again. i think a high kick would re rip them haha. and if i hear any shitty puns bout how this whole this is nutty or screwed up i aint talked to u for bout a month. if ure gunna drop a pun to make fun of me atleast put sum thot into lol
Mitchell made his mark on TUF 27, defeating Jay Cuccinello before having his run ended by Brad Katona, who went on to win the season. Mitchell then went on to compete at TUF: “Undefeated” Finale, defeating Tyler Diamond via unanimous decision.
Thankfully, the undefeated (10-0. 1-0 UFC) Featherweight has a great sense of humor despite the horrific situation, though it’s safe to say his road to recovery and timetable for a return could be lengthy.
