Two of the best kickboxers in the world have joined the fight team at Evolve MMA. In tghe last few days the Singapore based camp has announced the addition of both Giorgio Petrosyan and Tenshin Nasukawa to its roster.
Tenshin is only 19 years old but has already emerged as Japan’s top kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter. He’s beaten top Muay Thai fighters including Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Suakim Sit Sor Thor Taew, Amnat Ruenroeng and Wanchalong PK.Saenchaigym.
The teenager has emerged as one of the biggest stars with Japanese promotion Rizin. In 2017 he won its flyweight kickboxing tournament and Tenshin has also held titles with ISKA, BLade and Rise.
Giorgio Petrosyan is a multiple time kickboxing champion and current ONE Championship star. The 32 year old recently won the Bellator Kickboxing lightweight title and is a two time K-1 Max champion and former Glory champion.
Petrosyan has beaten some of the biggest names in the sport including Jo Nattawut, Robin van Roosmalen, Fabio Pinca, Artur Kyshenko, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee, Albert Kraus, Kem Sitsongpeenong and Andy Souwer.
He is currently riding a 12 fight winning streak that has included victories in Bellator, ONE Championship, Wi Lin Feng and Glory. This spell has seen him win titles with ISKA, W5 and Hero Legends as well as Bellator.
The Italian based southpaw looks set to relocate to Singapore. In the past Evolve MMA has primarily recruited standup fighters from Thailand and the camp is currently home to Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, Petchboonchu FA Group, Saketdao Petpayathai Saketdao Petpayathai, Penek Sitnumnoi, Kwankao Mor Rattanabandit and Penthai Singpatong.
While the aforementioned names are all Muay Thai fighters Petrosyan has shown an ability to switch seamlessly between striking codes. He only has two losses listed on his overall record which reportedly stands at 88-2-2-1.
