Bellator 208 goes down at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y., on Oct. 13, 2018, the second of back-to-back events on the same weekend that features the semifinal match up in the Heavyweight Grand Prix as “The Last Emperor” Fedor Emelianenko (37-5, 1 NC) squares off with “The American Gangster” Chael Sonnen (31-15-1). Now an additional bout has just been added to the Paramount Network-televised card that will showcase two of the key players in Bellator MMA’s 155-pound division: “Smooth” Benson Henderson (25-8) vs. “Assassin” Saad Awad (23-9).

Henderson picked up only his second Bellator win at Bellator 196 last year, but his tight guillotine choke finish was a reminder that the former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight kingpin is a dangerous man anywhere a fight goes ... and is not to be overlooked. Awad, meanwhile, is on a positive tear in the division right thanks to four straight wins. Two of those four were first round finishes from the power of his hands, but Awad has seven submissions to go along with 10 knockout victories, proving that he too is dangerous in any position.

In addition, a “Prelims” undercard fight at Bantamweight between Tommy Espinosa (4-1) and Suhrob Aidarbekov (5-3) will also join the Bellator 208 line-up.
