Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will send Jimi Manuwa into enemy territory to battle hometown favorite Glover Teixeira at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 137 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which takes place Sat., Sept. 22, 2018 inside Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

With just over a month to go before fight night, the promotion recently released the official UFC Sao Paulo poster, conveniently embedded above for your viewing pleasure.

I’m not sure why the British “Poster Boy” was slathered with colors of the Brazilian flag, which also bleed onto American interloper Tonya Evinger, but it looks like someone in creative melted a box of crayons and called it art.

I guess they can’t all be as unique and creative as this.

Teixeira (27-7) is looking to rebound from his unanimous decision loss to Corey Anderson at the UFC Fight Night 134 event just last month. The power-punching Brazilian, who turns 39 in October, has not recorded back-to-back victories in over two years.

Speaking of inconsistency, Manuwa (17-4) has been trying to get something going for several years now. After scoring consecutive knockout wins over Ovince Saint Preux and the aforementioned Anderson, “Poster Boy” went down in flames to Volkan Oezdemir, before getting outpointed by Jan Blachowicz.

UFC Sao Paulo will also feature the light heavyweight showdown between “Smilin’” Sam Alvey and the aging Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, while Neil Magny and Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira collide for welterweight bragging rights.
