I guess someone had a change of heart ... or a change of bank balance.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender, Volkan Oezdemir, was sent home by Florida’s Broward County courthouse on Monday afternoon July 9, 2018), after the charges in his felony battery case were dropped.

Apparently the victim refused to cooperate, according to MMA Fighting.

With that mess out of the way, Oezedmir can move forward with his Alexander Gustafsson fight at the upcoming UFC 227 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place on Sat., Aug. 4, 2018 in Los Angeles, California.

It’s not for the interim title ... yet.

“No Time” was originally paired off against ex-light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua (twice); however, the court rescheduled his case too close to fight night and UFC decided to rebook that bout in case Oezdemir went to trial for an undetermined amount of time.

In the end, it didn’t matter.
