Video: ‘Framed’ Nick Diaz breaks silence on recent arrest, vows to make UFC return in 2019

New, comments

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight veteran, Nick Diaz, doesn’t appear to be overly concerned about the charges of domestic violence levied against him last May, insisting that he was “framed” leading up to his Las Vegas arrest.

In addition, the former Strikeforce 170-pound champion insists he will make his long-awaited return to mixed martial arts (MMA) at some point in 2019, after finally clearing the hurdles placed in front of him by United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) a few years back.

Whether or not that’s a reality at this stage of the Stockton slugger’s career remains to be seen. Diaz, 34, hasn't competed since his middleweight showdown opposite Anderson Silva at UFC 183 over three years back, which ended in a no contest.

Keep in mind that’s three years of his competitive prime lost to ... nonsense. The road back to the Octagon is hazy at this point, particularly with his current legal issues, but the clock is certainly ticking.
