Knockout! Watch Dan Ige finish Mike Santiago in 50 seconds at UFC 225

Featherweight prospect Dan Ige wasted little time setting the Octagon ablaze earlier tonight (Sat., June 9, 2018) at UFC 225 from inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois, when he put a stop to hometown veteran Mike Santiago via TKO just 50 seconds into the first round.

Ige rushed Santiago early and caught him along the cage with a nice combination. Santiago was still coherent but briefly tumbled to the ground. Ige jumped on top for a takedown, worked for back control, and landed heavy ground-and-pound before the referee stepped in for the stoppage.

With this performance, Ige avenges his debut loss to Julio Arce back in January. “Dynamite” is a talented fighter at 145 pounds, but he will have to defeat more established opponents if he wishes to climb the rankings in one of the most stacked divisions around.
