UFC 225: Luke Rockhold promptly flamed by Twitter followers after laughing at Yoel Romero

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold, was not impressed with Yoel Romero’s weight cutting efforts ahead of the UFC 225 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place this Saturday night in Chicago, Illinois.

See for yourself:

Romero came in at 185.2.

Some of the blowback:

“Shut up concussion boy”

“bro.we thinked u re dead . happy to see u alive.”

“Luke I am a huge fan of you but you look like a bum talking shit now being salty you werent being this salty when yoel knocked your head out and nearly ripped it apart and then molested you after if anything you should be tweeting”

And of course “The Count” had to chime in.

I blame this.

Rockhold knows a thing or two about “The Soldier of God” struggling on the scale, as the Cuban came in heavy for his interim title fight against the part-time model ahead of UFC 221 back in February, before winning the contest by way of third-round knockout.

What happens to the Robert Whittaker title fight remains to be seen, but it’s not a good sign that Romero had to be carried from the early weigh-ins visibly in pain (video). The promotion is currently trying to save the middleweight scrap and may have to bump the championship co-main event between Rafael dos Anjos vs. Colby Covington into the headlining spot.

More on this in just a bit.
