Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President, Dana White, is putting his mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters on notice in the wake of the Yair Rodriguez fiasco, one that nearly sent “Pantera” to the competition for more money.

Read all the gory details here.

“You’re here to fight and you’re here to become a world champion” White told UFC Unfiltered (via MMA Fighting). “If that is not what you are here for, this is not the place for you. You can go many other places.”

Many fighters do, but I guess that’s considered washing out.

“They’re paying guys great money out there right now and a lot of times you can go out there and make more money than you’re making here,” he said. “Knock yourself out because that’s where you belong. You don’t belong here.”

I’m sure this six-figure stud is crying his way to the bank.

Admitting the competition pays as much (or greater) is a convenient way to downplay these claims levied against the world’s preeminent combat sports promotion, whose “eat what you kill” motto has drawn the ire of ... well, just about everybody.

That’s what happens when you’re as thirsty as White is.
