Report: Jessica Andrade vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the works for UFC 228 on Sept. 8

An interesting women’s Strawweight fight between former title challengers Jessica Andrade and Karolina Kowalkiewicz is in the works for the upcoming UFC 228 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is set to go down on Sept. 8, 2018.

That’s according to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, who also revealed while the event doesn’t have a city and venue locked down, the promotion is eying Dallas, Texas as potential host.

Check it out:

UFC’s last visit to Dallas was in May of 2017 for UFC 211 which saw Stipe Miocic defend his title against Junior dos Santos, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk do the same against the aforementioned Jessica Andrade.

Jessica — ranked No. 2 — is currently riding a two fight win streak against Claudia Gadleha and Tecia Torres. Meanwhile, Karolina (No. 4), is also riding high with two wins and was most recently seen taking out Felice Herrig at UFC 223.

The winner will undoubtedly be the front-runner to face current women’s Strawweight champion Rose Namajunas, who defended her title against Joanna Jędrzejczyk at UFC 223 a couple of months ago in Brooklyn, New York.
