Submission! Watch Gregor Gillespie choke out Vinc Pichel at UFC Utica

Gregor Gillespie continued to dominate the lightweight competition last night (Fri., June 1, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 131 from inside Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, N.Y., when he powered through knockout artist Vinc Pichel for a second-round arm-triangle choke finish.

Pichel really didn’t stand a chance from the beginning. Gillespie was able to secure multiple takedowns and controlled Pichel at every point in the fight. In Round 2, after a beautiful transition into full mount, Gillespie put the pressure on “From Hell” and sunk in a perfect arm-triangle choke, forcing his fellow lightweight to tap.

With this performance, Gillespie locks down his fourth-straight Octagon finish en route to increasing his overall professional record to 12-0. “Gift” has looked better each and every time we’ve seen him, and could do serious damage to the lightweight top 15 later this year if UFC finally decides to unleash him.
