Knockout! Watch Ben Saunders land vicious knee on Jake Ellenberger at UFC Utica

Veteran welterweights collided earlier tonight (Fri., June 1, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 131 from inside Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, N.Y., when Ben Saunders finished Jake Ellenberger via first-round TKO to claim his first Octagon finish since 2014.

Ellenberger was trying to fix a dismal 2-6 record since the beginning of 2016 and his sense of urgency showed. “Juggernaut” let his hands go early and tried to press Saunders. Saunders returned favor by locking up a clinch with Ellenberger and landing a devastating knee to the body. Ellenberger toppled over and “Killa B” landed a few more shots before the referee peeled him off.

With this performance, Saunders gets back in the win column after dropping back-to-back knockout defeats to Peter Sobotta and Alan Jouban. The 35-year-old has most likely peaked at this point in his career, but when he’s on he can deliver flashy finishes like this one.
