Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) something-weight Mackenzie Dern arrived at the EA Sports headquarters this week in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, presumably to be added to the latest UFC video game.
Unfortunately for the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace, fans were less excited about her addition to the digital roster and more concerned with the weight class in which she’ll be representing, which I suppose is not surprising considering her recent struggle to make the strawweight limit.
Dern (7-0) is perfect in two trips to the Octagon and notched four submissions in her seven wins. While she remains unranked, thanks to her recent scale fail, it’s safe to assume she can re-enter the top 15 with another impressive performance.
As for the UFC video game, the recent release was met with mixed reviews, but did present several new gameplay options, which I suppose is a step in the right direction. Just don’t be “that guy” and choose this fighter.
