Song jabs the body. Nice combinations. Wheel kick bounces off the guard. Two minutes in. Jab from Arantes, body shot from Song. A lot of volume from the Chinese youngster, Arantes defending well so far. Arantes slips on a head kick and goes to his back. Song follows him down with good punches and takes half guard. Round 2: Song comes out slugging and Arantes obliges, trying flying knees and other shenanigans. Arantes shoots and pulls guard. Solid elbows from Song. Arantes still has the armbar in mind, Song’s not giving him the opportunity, going body-head. Two minutes in. Arantes looks for a leg, starts eating knees to the body. One hook in for Song. Now mount and Song locks up the arm triangle. Two minutes to go.

Round 1: Anzai threatens an early takedown, eats a hard right hand. Anzai continuing to pursue, walks through a knee to tie up. Good knee from Matthews a minute in. Another. Anzai lands a knee to the body, eats one in return. Matthews lands a knee to the head on the way out, then lands a 1-2. Matthews lands a knee and hits a knee tap into butterfly guard. Solid punches from Matthews and Anzai gives up his back. Matthews locks up the rear naked choke and puts Anzai to sleep in seconds.

115 lbs.: Yan Xiaonan vs. Viviane Pereira

Round 1: Yan coming out aggressively, as expected. Low kicks from Yan. One minute in. Quick exchange in the center. Pereira lands some counters. Two minutes in. Body kick from Yan, Pereira tries to counter. Two minutes to go.

Pereira looks for the body. 1-2 from Pereira, glancing right by Yan soon after. One minute to go. Both land hard right hands. Left hook from Pereira, right hand by Yan. Good round. 10-9 Yan.
