Sage Northcutt will look to collect his third win in a row when he faces Zak Ottow in a welterweight bout on July 14, 2018 at UFC Fight Night 133 in Boise, Idaho. The fight was rumored for some time, but the promotion made the bout official earlier today (Mon. June 18, 2018).
Sage — a former “Lookin’ for a Fight” alum — has had an up-and-down career thus far inside the Octagon, racking up a 5-2 record, though the consistency has been lacking while he’s been fighting at both Lightweight and Welterweight. His last outing saw him take out Thibault Gouti via unanimous decision last February.
As for Ottow, he got back on the winning track back at UFC 222 last March by knocking out Mike Pyle into retirement. A win over the young up-and-comer will be a huge boost for Zak.
UFC Fight Night 133 will feature a heavyweight showdown between former division champion Junior dos Santos taking on Blagoy Ivanov. Also, James Vick will face Paul Felder in the co-main event, while Chad Mendes returns after a two-year suspension to take on Miles Jury.
