Tyron Woodley wants Colby Covington kicked off American Top Team after he ‘f—ks him up’

After winning the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim welterweight title last Saturday night (June 9, 2018) at UFC 225 by defeating Rafael dos Anjos (highlights), Colby Covington also secured himself his much-desired scrap against his former training partner Tyron Woodley.

And after refusing to even give “Chaos” the time of day, “The Chosen One” finally broke his social media silence, stating that he’d like to settle the beef as soon as possible before going on to claim he’ll likely get banned from the sport after he takes his life.

During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Tyron continued his rant on his former training partner, saying he actually spoke to the powers that be at American Top Team (ATT) where they both train and has put in a request to have Covington kicked off the team once he “fucks him up.”

“He’s not on my level and he never will be on my level. No we are to the point to where it’s my duty as a martial artist to fuck him up. It’s almost my job as a martial artist, for whatever I stand for,” said a pumped Woodley. “I talked to Dan Lambert today. I told him that after I whoop his ass I want him off the team. He’s a disgrace to American Top Team, the tradition it was rooted in, he’s a disgrace to the sport and a mockery to the toughest and best division in the UFC’s history, the welterweight division,” added the current 170-pound champion.

As for Lambert’s response, Woodley wouldn’t disclose that information.

Throughout his crusade against Tyron, Covington has repeatedly claimed to have gotten the best of him during training sessions, To hear “T-Wood” tell it, it couldn’t be further from the truth, saying he has people on the team that would attest to the beatdown he put on “Chaos.”

“He was brought in to help me train for Rory MacDonald and I have never met a lazier piece of shit than Colby Covington. When it was time to wrestle, ask him how many takedowns he actually scored on me. Zero. Ask him why he turned blue like a fucking blueberry when I was choking him out and he refused to tap,” revealed Woodley.

To top it off, Tyron claims to have called Covington up to advise him to tone down his shtick just a bit, going as far as to say he has private text messages he has no problem making public at a time when Colby sought him out for help on how to market himself and earn sponsors.

“He is an asshole training partner, he’s a horrible human being, nothing he says is factual. So I called him and I said, ‘Hey, I know you feel you have to do this, it’s the path that Conor McGregor made and you think this is what you have to do, but you are really making yourself look bad.”

“He said, ‘Man, I’m just trying to make money for both of us, we will both eat at the end of the day.’ When someone is doing a good job like Conor or Chael, I hate to unveil them, but when you have John Hartnett from American Top Team scripting and writing your stuff, and when 99 percent of your social media is my face, you need to check your man Visa because you done lost all points,” he added.

If and when the promotion does book this title unification match, you can expect the trash talk to go up a few levels and more dirty laundry to be aired.

Is normal.
