I don’t own EA Sports UFC 3 and have yet to play it (or either of the previous two versions). Partly because I suck at video games but mostly because ... well, do I really need more MMA in my life?
That’s why it’s hard for me to get excited whenever a new character is introduced or made available for download. That said, I do appreciate the headlines that come from them, like promotion president Dana White’s ridiculous fighter ranking to cage announcer Bruce Buffer’s taunt.
The taunt has become a big part of fighting games dating back to Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! Remember when Don Flamenco would shake his fists and yell at you with those bleeps and bloops? Well, we’ve come a long way since then, evidenced by what you see above.
Before you get overly critical of the inclusion of Buffer as a fighting character, I think we’ll all agree — based on this story — that he’s more than earned his stripes.
