Just because Michael Bisping has officially retired from the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA), doesn’t mean he’s done kicking ass. According to the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion of the world, he’ll still be very much in the public eye thanks to his blossoming Hollywood career.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, “The Count” outlined his upcoming plans to take over Tinseltown while conducting the video interview in a sauna.
“I still have to look after myself, buddy, I’m taking over Hollywood so I have to look good. I got a movie coming out soon called ‘Triple Threat,’ so keep an eye out for that one. It’s with Tony Jaa, Scott Adkins, Iko Uwais. Doing another ‘Triple X’ movie next year and the next ‘Den of Thieves.’ I am working on the fastest growing daily fantasy sports app in the world, playline.com. Check it out, if you like to make some money go to playline.com. So, just kicking ass on the screen. I will still be kicking ass, so don’t worry you will see a lot of me.”
Indeed, Bisping has already been collecting plenty of credits on his official IMDB page, and much like Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano before him, he has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
The 39-year old brash Brit leaves the sport of MMA with a highly-impressive resume and plenty of Octagon records, which you can see in detail here.
Aside from having his mug all over the big screen, you can still catch Bisping as an occasional guest host on “UFC Tonight” and will remain in his post over at TUF Talk -- as well as the pre and post-fight shows — until UFC’s deal with FOX Sports expires in 2019.
No word yet if he’ll have a gig over at the ESPN campus.
