Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight veteran, Clay Guida, is getting a new dance partner for the upcoming UFC 225 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., June 9, 2018 inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
That’s because original opponent, Bobby Green, was forced to withdraw for undisclosed reasons. “The Carpenter’ posted word of the open slot — promptly filled by grappling whiz kid Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira — and MMA Junkie confirmed with swap with Guida’s manager.
“New opponent, same result,” Guida wrote on Instagram. “Victory!!!”
Guida (34-17) is looking to win his third straight after turning away Erik Koch and Joe Lauzon in back-to-back fights, a welcome change after struggling to find success at 145 pounds. Oliveira (22-8, 1 NC), meanwhile, has dropped three of his last four and recently went down in flames to lightweight bruiser Paul Felder.
