Video: UFC pays tribute to Michael Bisping after announcing retirement from MMA

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion Michael Bisping recently made his retirement official from the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) after 15 years in the hurt business.

Soon thereafter, fans, friends, colleagues and even some rivals came out in droves to wish “The Count” a farewell as he rides off into the sunset. Now, UFC has released a tribute video honoring the brash Brit’s career, highlighting his path from an Ultimate Fighter (TUF) winner to world champion.

And the promotion enlisted the services of Michael’s father and wife to add a personal touch.

While the ex-185-pound kingpin won’t be knocking heads inside the eight-walled cage anymore, he still has a spot on the UFC on FOX analyst desk for the remaining time left in the deal between the network and promotion.

UFC recent inked massive 5-year, $1.5 billion television contract with ESPN which begins next year, but there is no word on what will become of “UFC Tonight” or it’s current hosts, which includes plenty of current fighters such as Bisping.
