Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight title contender and full time traitor, Jeff Monson, has fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a Russian citizen this week thanks to the rubber stamp of president Vladimir Putin.

That’s according to the folks at RT.com, who also note “The Snowman” was awarded the title of honorary citizen of the self-proclaimed Republic of Abkhazia, as well as a passport of the newly-formed Lugansk People’s Republic.

Nice place to visit, but you wouldn’t want to be hospitalized there.

Monson (60-26-1) has competed for UFC, Strikefore, PRIDE FC and just about everywhere else, though he’s recently relegated himself to Russian MMA promotions in the second half of his extensive combat sports career.

You know what they say about the company you keep.

The 47-year-old grappler was last seen strangling the 1-1 Alex Kardo at Industrials: “Battle in Belgorod” back in October. Despite the punchlines, “The Snowman” holds a staggering 38 submission victories in 60 wins.
