Color me jaded, but watching Michael Bisping get dumped from his FOX Sports 1 analyst chair was more exciting than anything I saw in the 25 minutes of Darren Till vs. Stephen Thompson, who battled to a five-round decision yesterday at UFC Liverpool in England.
The 39 year-old “Count” was good enough to upload the video of his ejection to his social media channels because he likes to poke fun of himself, but when I do it, they make a song about what a dweeb I am.
Bisping (30-9) has not competed since a knockout loss to Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Shanghai last November. While he’s been non-committal about returning to the Octagon, he certainly has no qualms about keeping up appearances for FOX Sports 1 — though his days are numbered now that UFC has aligned itself with ESPN for 2019.
