For a Cage Warriors fighter taking a last second fight against a beast like Neil Magny, Craig White represented himself pretty well at UFC Liverpool. Unfortunately, that didn’t stop him from getting finished late in the first round of their fight.
White started the fight with some decent control of Magny against the cage, but a short knee to the face dropped him to the canvas and it didn’t take much longer for Magny to overwhelm him on the ground with strikes. The official finish time was 4:32 of round one.
Who needs a second round, when Neil Magny can just get a TKO in the first \_(ツ)_/¯. pic.twitter.com/6BEViLyq6j

A knee to the face along the fence followed by some long GnP from Mangy put White away in the first round.#UFCLiverpool pic.twitter.com/VZhQYyjvoE

The win is Magny’s second in a row following a dominating performance over Carlos Condit back at UFC 219. A win over original opponent Gunnar Nelson would have helped Magny re-establish himself as a contender at 170 pounds, but he sounded happy enough to stay on the UFC Liverpool card against White.
Takes care of business.
