Tom Breese took two years to step back into the Octagon but just three and a half minutes to win his UFC Liverpool fight against Australia’s Daniel Kelly. It was an uppercut that seemed to catch Kelly at an odd angle in his eye that finished things. Immediately after the strike, Kelly covered his face and backed into the cage. Breese didn’t hesitate to follow up, forcing the ref to stop the action at 3:33.

What a weird stoppage. Super fast hands by Breeze and great movement. Great win back after 2 years layoff. #UFCLiverpool pic.twitter.com/XiaD3NRCtl

The loss is Kelly’s third in a row and could mark the last time we see the 40 year old underdog in the UFC. As for Breese, he’s bouncing back from a 2016 loss to Sean Strickland which is the sole loss on his now 11-1 record. The time off after a serious knee injury seems to have helped him out!
