Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has finally gotten around to watching the Conor McGregor: Notorious documentary, and he liked what he saw.

The WWE superstar and box office juggernaut took to Instagram on Saturday night to share his thoughts on the film, which came out in November of 2017 and captured McGregor’s rise to fame in the UFC. While McGregor may have lost some fans with his recent behavior, it seems like The Rock still has a lot of respect for the former Champ Champ.

”Great insight into the DNA of this successful and smart businessman,” The Rock wrote. “Best part of his success, is when you strip it all away—it will always come down to being the hardest worker in the room.”

McGregor responded by sharing The Rock’s message, adding “Thank you, Rock! Your work ethic is inspiring to me, and I appreciate these words very much!”

The former UFC lightweight champion has been unusually quiet on social media since his misadventures leading up to UFC 223, turning down his usual bombastic tone in favor of more wholesome messaging. We imagine that may have to do with his upcoming court date on June 14th, where McGregor faces a felony mischief charge for throwing a metal trolley through the window of a bus.
