Ryan Bader just made a sh*tload of money at Bellator 199 and UFC fighters are probably grumpy about it

MMA: Bellator 186-Ryan Bader vs Linton Vassell Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

Ryan Bader got paid $150,000 for 15 seconds of work.

That’s because the Bellator 199 headliner had enough sense to strike while the iron was hot, hooking up with Scott Coker and Co. after running out his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contract roughly one year back.

Alongside Matt Mitrione and a few others, “Darth” is now a member of the six-figure club.

Just like UFC, not every fighter who inks with Bellator MMA is going to make beaucoup bucks, but the Viacom-owned mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion makes up for it by allowing fighters to secure their own sponsors.

The result is “three-to-four times more money.”

Here is the complete list of disclosed Bellator 199 payouts and salaries, which also includes a cool $150,000 for “King Mo” Lawal, who was on the receiving end of Bader’s fight-ending power-punch last weekend in San Jose, California.
