UFC on FOX 30 — which is set to go down on July 28, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada — just got a whole lot sweeter as a women’s Strawweight showdown between former division champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has been booked to take place on the FOX-televised event.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has the word:
New Fight: Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Tecia Torres "is on" for UFC Fight Night on July 28 in Calgary, per Dana White. https://t.co/nxoldJpZza

Can’t say we didn’t see it coming.
Joanna is coming of a second straight championship defeat to current champion Rose Namajunas, which went down at UFC 223 just last month (recap here). With the title firmly out of reach, Joanna now faces a tough road back to the front of the title picture after coming up short in her instant rematch.
As for Torres, she is coming off a loss via unanimous decision to Jessica Andrade, which went down at UFC on FOX 28 last February, ending her three-fight skid. While a title fight won’t be in reach for the victor, it does prevent them from falling further down the 115-pound pecking order.
UFC on FOX 30 will feature a co-main event between former Featherweight champion Jose Aldo and Jeremy Stephens. And while the promotion currently doesn’t have a headliner booked, UFC is planning on booking a rematch between Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier to serve as the main event.
More on that here.
