Rose Namajunas proved her UFC 205 win over Joanna Jedrzejczyk last night (Sat., April 7, 2018) at UFC 223 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, defeating the former strawweight powerhouse via five round decision.
It was a gutsy performance that saw Namajunas take the lead early, only to wilt under an assault of leg kicks from Jedrzejczyk coming into the third round. But by round five Jedrzejczyk’s eye was swelled shut and Rose was still able to move on her bruised leg enough to finish strong, securing the judges’ decision with 49-46, 49-46, 49-46 scores.

With this performance, Namajunas cements her grip on the women’s strawweight division. Jedrzejczyk is now 0-2 vs. the new champ, meaning it’ll take a new power contender to dethrone Namajunas. We can’t wait to see how many times she defends her belt!
