Dillon Danis made the most of his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) debut earlier tonight (Sat., April 28, 2018) at Bellator 198 live on Paramount Network from inside Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, when he put a quick stop to hometown fighter Kyle Walker via first-round toe hold submission.
It wasn’t an entirely perfect performance for Danis who came out in a Conor McGregor-like striking stance only to get tagged with two good power punches, but the jiu-jitsu expert quickly moved in for the clinch and ended up pulling guard. Danis worked for a knee bar attempt but ended up transitioning to a toe hold and forced walker to tap.

With this performance, Danis cashes in on a huge opportunity to live up to the hype in his pro debut. The 24-year-old prospect certainly needs some work on his standup, but if Danis can continue to get opponents to the ground he should provide more impressive finishes like this one.
